Map of Turners Falls showing location of stray shopping carts
One of my first shopping cart pictures showing position of carts in the downtown area. Pastel, acrylic, aluminum foil on paper.
-
Goat cart
I used several skeins of white yarn to shag this cart!
-
shaggy
It looks right at home in the snow.

montague reporter coverage
After a few days, the cart disappeared! Then it appeared again in late spring on Third Street. Maybe someone took it home for the winter? Then it vanished again and I haven't seen it since. It really took a long time to make. Anna and Sophia Wetherbee were very helpful in helping tie on the yarn.

Pardon Me Palin
You really can't see from this picture very well, but this is a cart made into a big turkey bearing the head of Sarah Palin. I created this after her famous turkey pardoning episode. THe sign on the side says "Pardon Me!".

Sarah Gobbler
Well, I brought this one down under the Spring Street bridge and it disappeared the same day I put it out. Perhaps some neighborhood republicans didn't like it.
-
aluminum cart
THis was probably the most valuable cart made. I used aluminum bar scrap from my cutting operation in the basement. Tinsel completes the look. We released it one dark night in TFMA.
-
Metal scrap
I never saw this one in the street again. I think someone probably brought it to the scrap yard for money.

Here they are, cows on Third Street!
